After reading No cash, No Problem, I wonder where I’ve spent the last 50 years of my life. I surely missed many opportunities to barter my services for things I paid cash for in the past. I’ve certainly learned a lot after reading the book, and I plan on implementing the unique and wonderful ideas that the author proposes. It is a step by step road map to success without using cash.

Dave Wagenvoord is the Real Deal

June 13, 2013 | By Lee Clark

I’ve worked with broadcaster, businessman and author Dave Wagenvoord for two decades. I put Dave right up there with Ted Turner, Don Imus and Hunter Thompson for sheer wit, talent, audacity, and creativity in business, art, and life. I think that, to Dave, life IS art. Dave doesn’t think outside the box. Dave BURNS the box!

Dave Wagenvoord is the wittiest man I know, and one of the smartest. Anyone who, among other things, acquired the Western White House from Peter Lawford, created the first 24-hour television station, and traded out 1,100 Chrysler Imperials for advertising credits, is, in my book, legendary!

It’s amazing how you can change your life when you stop looking at a cash crunch as an obstacle, and start looking at it as an opportunity! Your small investment in this book, “No Cash, No Problem,” has the potential to yield a virtually unlimited return! Even if you fall short of becoming America’s Next Bartering Superstar, it’s a fascinating read! I am forever grateful to Dave Wagenvoord for his inspiration, brilliance, and generosity! And hats off to co-pilot Ali Pervez, a gentleman and a scholar.

Love the insight into how clever people make all that money.

Could not put this book down, nothing like other boring marketing books. Not only was it informative, it contained a hugely important collection of ideas on how to conduct a business deal. The real world examples of game changing business deals that created famous brands will probably be a source of many quotes. Hope to see more from Ali Pervez. Definite buy.

Very Useful Information

May 20, 2013 | By Eric M

This book could help ignite the revival of an old but proven concept. Explains the mechanics of how to actually trade. Since reading the book I have executed my first trade. This came only after understanding and utilizing the techniques explained in this book. I wasn’t able to take advantage of an opportunity to trade my technology commercialization consulting expertise for incubator space for a start up company my partner and I are trying to launch. The deal enabled us to preserve precious start up capital for other purposes. I am glad the authors took he time to share this information. Going forward, barter will always be an instrument and my financial tool box as I try to acquire the resources I need to accomplish my goals. I have tried it and it works.

Great book to start 2010

December 28, 2009 | By Ashraf Chaudhry

Sometimes, you get some of the best things in life when you are least expecting them. Recently, I met such a happy accident (serendipity, I must say). I was searching someone at Twitter when I noticed a bit familiar name Ali Pervez. I came to know that he is author of Get Your Black Belt in Marketing. I went to his website and couple of other sites and I got intrigued about the provocative and far-out contents of the book. I just finished reading this great treatise on marketing.

Awesome and Terrific are small and insignificant words while describing the wisdom behind 81 Moves of Get Your Black Belt in Marketing. The entire book is full of common sense wisdom which we conveniently ignore while studying the complex marketing theories.

Book consists of 81 Moves (or you can say small chapters) and each move revolves around one critical concept for revenue-generating system. When traditional marketing books start and end with words/concepts like Brand Equity, Top of Mind etc, it is very interesting to find that the entire book does not even mention words like Brand Equity and Top of Mind even for a single time. Rather, the focus is on revenue-generating system, networking, information sharing, cultivating relationships with the customers and converting customers into clients. Traditional marketers with humongous marketing budgets and addicted to glamorous world of models, shoots and hype and hoopla of advertising agencies may find this book going against their interests and aptitude but this book is “Holy Grail” for marketers whose aim is to create great streams of revenue with optimum budgets.
Get Your Black Belt in Marketing talks about Focus (Follow One Course Until Successful), Testimonials, Power of Telephone, Application of Social Media, Referrals, E-newsletters, Databases, Trade Shows, PR, Customer Feedbacks, UVP (Unique Value Proposition), Affiliate Relationships, Godfather Value Propositions and Surprising the Customers etc.

The entire book has been written in simple words…….sentences are flowing like running water. The grip on the reader is absolutely hypnotic. I would like to share some of the sentences for your pleasure reading.

* The headline is actually the advertisement of the advertisement.
* Fail early, fail often–just find out what works as quickly as possible!
* When the customers’ problems become your problems, you make money.
* If you want to double sales, just double the time you spend with customers.
* It takes a minimum of seven impressions to get someone to take you seriously.
* People buy from people they know, like, and trust.
* Remember, in the court of marketing, you are guilty until you can prove the value of your product to others!
* Mind-set is always more important than method.

The book is an invaluable resource for professionals and entrepreneurs. Start 2010 with Get Your Black Belt in Marketing and surprise yourself with the present on New Year of the book that is all-set to become talk of the global town.

January 29, 2013 | By Matthew Clark

As an avid reader in my thirty one years there are only a few books that I will carry with me throughout my life and truly remember as one of “the great ones.” “Get Your Black Belt In Marketing” is most certainly one of those books. When I first heard about the concept of ‘Black Belt Marketing’ I was more intrigued than anything. What exactly does that mean? Black Belt Marketing? Well, that is EXACTLY what that means. Black Belt Marketing puts you in a class only shared by true geniuses of that genre and the master himself, Mr. Ali Pervez, will take you there in this book.

If there is one New Year’s resolution you need to make this year, and keep it, make it this: Read Ali Pervez’s book. You won’t be disappointed.

Most Spectacular Marketing Book Ever!!!

December 5, 2005 | By E. Rudnick

Ali Pervez’s book Marketing is King! is the definitive book on marketing for individuals. Literally it is among the top 5 business books ever. Written in a style that is conversational and motivational, it offersr gem after gem of information, while helping to adjust the reader to understanding how a expert marketing things and identifies opportunities. This book could help you tremendously increase your sales, marketing, pesuasion and influence in just about every area.

This book reminds me of Anthony Robbins’ Awaken the Giant Within, only focused on marketing and using those sorts of distinctions in business. It’s amazing that so soon after this books release it’s already being used as a textbook in graduate level marketing classes at Universities. It’s a testiment to just how exceptional this book is. This book ranks right up there with Tony Robbins and Jay Abraham, and yet is focused on totally new and original information. A spectacular read!

Tap Into the Power of Marketing

July 18, 2008 | By W. Terry Whalin “Acquisitions Editor / Writer”

Many people avoid any connection to marketing because of a lack of understanding. For example, book authors avoid marketing their book because they wrongly believe that is the publisher’s responsibility. Ali Pervez has written an easy-to-understand guide for anyone who wants to build relationships and increase their sales.

As you read this book, you will regularly reach for your yellow highlighter to be able to return to the pages over and over for inspiration. I certainly marked my copy as I read it. For example, Pervez writes in the section, Marketing Is Power, “I believe that ninety-five percent of success is about getting the right knowledge, and five percent is about applying it to get things done. But I think it’s the last five percent that’s the most difficult to do! Why? Because we get involved in so many different activities and are not able to make the priority and focus on what needs to be done.” (page 20)

Probably the most valuable book Ive ever read

December 9, 2005 | By Alex Silver “Alex”

Before I got this book I thought that my dream job in Games Design was just that, a dream. But this book taught me how to get into contact with key company decision makers, make them an offer they cant refuse and then close the deal. Now I’m working in a place I’ve always wanted to and have the confidence in knowing that I don’t have to work any place I don’t want to. This one should be a best seller.

How to market yourself!

December 19, 2005 | By Holly Hartz

I read the book, used the information that is contained within it, and it works! Well written, would highly recommend that you get a copy. This is the first self help marketing book that de-mystifies marketing for the average person. I really believe that this will go on to be a winner.

Ali is very passionate about “marketing for life” and it certainly shows in this book. I adore the smart anecdotes he uses to convey his message! A must read for every age group and more so for young adults to be successful in this challenging global economic environment. In fact should be part of the college curriculum…

Not just for the marketing professionals

January 1, 2006 | By Chris Schofield

This isn’t just a book for marketing professionals though no doubt it will help many mid-careers take-off. From the perspective of a non-expert one aspect where it really scores is in the job-seeking section that is absolutely excellent. The book not only shows how marketing your skill-set in the abstract is vital to securing a job of choice, but sets out a series of practical ways in which one can go about making an impression on the decision makers. In some ways the book distils what many of us have taken decades to learn the hard way about job hunting. If its lessons are learnt it may well help many young people to avoid the ‘wish that I knew what I know now when I was younger’ feeling later in life.
